december 21st 2006... seasons greetings.
blinded by fear is no more. we decided to let the band go for now. there is, after all, only so many ways to beat a dead horse. the decision was unanimous and, although we will miss the band, we all agree that this is probably for the better.

several members are moving on to projects as yet undisclosed.

we would like to thank those who supported us. look to this page for news about any and all projects we will be involved in.

august 8th 2006... wohey! what a gig! thank you all very much for the kind support at the rock. despite the blistering heat we all had a blast and you guys sure seemed fired-up as well.

special thanks and a big "hell yeah!" to the banger in the front row who helped me through our cover of "creeping death" by the mighty 'tallica.

our next step will likely be demo-recording and world domination.

pictures from the gig will be up as soon as we can be assed to look through them. i hope that means soon, don't you?

july 25th 2006... spammers be gone! as you may have noticed in the past, our guest book has been a breeding ground for spam messages of all sorts - without limitations.

now with the assistance of our friend thomas "camelz" mogensen, we have effectively put a stop to this. thomas has cooked up a random number generator for our "sign in" page.

how does this affect you? you have to type in the randomly generated number displayed, into the "verification" field in order to leave us a message.

a little update in regards to the concert on thursday: unfortunately kindergarden freakshow's drummer has broken his arm, so their spot on the bill has been filled by another band from odense called plök. in addition to this, as it looks right now, we are going to be playing just before megalomania999 does, which puts us as the 3rd band to hit the stage on thursday.

news history function added: you might notice that we now have ”arrows” at the top and bottom of our news page, which will enable you, the hungry news addict, to go through all of our previous news bits.

apart from that we still have unfilled guest list spots to those of you who know that you are coming, but would like to avoid paying the 40,-dkkr to get in. just send me, steve, an email and i will add you.

july 24th 2006... as you hopefully know, we are playing at the rock on thursday the 27th, and as luck would have it we have a couple of free guest list spots.

july 5th 2006... we have been invited by our friends zenith, to support them tomorrow night, the 6th of july, at lades kælder.

ticket price is 40,-dkkr. the doors open at 2100hours, and we go on stage at 2200hours.

hope to see some friendly faces there :)

june 26th 2006... coming out to play :) - as most or maybe just a few of you well informed followers already know, we will be coming out play, and play hard, on:

thursday, july 27th @ the rock.

other acts playing that night are: ”kindergarden freakshow”, ”mcip”, and ”megalomania 999”.
doors open at 2100hours, and the ticket price is 40dkkr.

seeing how we are still one guitarist short, a good friend, and for some of us old bandmate, kristian martinsen (entakt, ex-ironfire) has willing put his talents at our disposal, and will be kicking ass with us on said evening.

that said, we are still a ”full-time” guitarist short. so if you are or have a friend who is a cool guitarist, good song writer and just a cool person in general, please do send us an email.

april 8th 2006... may we have your attention please! as we have recently started practising again, and are rapidly catching up on lost time in regards to getting our back catalogue up and running as well as composing new material, we have quickly learned that - as you all know - we are still one guitarist short.

why am i telling you this again? -you might ask yourself. and i will tell you why.

we are putting together a semi-open audition-weekend, which will take place in the weekend of the 22nd and 23rd of april. semi-open in the way that every one is welcome, but to avoid complete chaos we would like people to "register" ahead of time, and get a 1 hour timeslot appointed. registration and further information exchange will be done via email correspondence.

do you think you have what it takes to walk in the foot prints of such guitarists as jose cruz and erik öberg? you do don't you? well stop wasting time and send us an email with the date and time you'd like to fill, and we'll take it from there! "applications" from male as well as female guitarists will be accepted and treated in an equal fashion. apply now!

march 15th 2006... just me checking in to say a big thanks to all the fuckers who helped make my birthday an awesome day! thanks for the cool music terje, the drinks, peter and a big hell yeah to the rest!

february 18th 2006... after a long break, it looks like we are closing in on getting the wheels on the blinded by fear-bus in motion again.

a couple of things were stuck in the wheels, making it if not impossible, then *damn* near it, for us to practice in a decent fashion. mainly we were missing a pa solution, which we almost have in place now. but a pa systems needs speakers, and so did we. we ordered a set, which was to be delivered to us by our "chinese connection", but we never saw the shadow off them. thankfully we didn't put down any money for them.

in the end, fed up with the sticky situation, we decided to go ahead and build our own pa speakers with the assistance of david mason, my "audio specialist"-older brother, who has also helped and is continuing to help us optimize the sound of our new rehearsal hall.

so with a hope filled voice, i will tell you that the long wait for smoother flowing news, and actual blinded by fear-forged-music-news should be right around the corner.

in relation to that, we will start taking applications for prospect guitarist to audition for us, as soon as we are fully set up, and have had a go at our back-catalog and looked at some of the stuff we have in the works. so please do send us an email if you think you have what it takes to be considered to fill jose's and erik's shoes.

december 31st 2005... jeff, steve, jacob and myself wish a happy and profitable new year on every one of our friends, supporters and, naturally, our families.

'06 could quite possibly bring about some drastic changes, in metal, in blinded by fear and, of lesser importance, in the world at large.
